“It is very strong... Brink Productions ... has developed a reputation for producing tough plays, full of ideas, with a vivid theatricality ... the most fleet and voluble version of this play seen in Sydney.” Sydney Morning Herald

THE CARETAKER

By HAROLD PINTER

Three men. Two beds. One room.

Harold Pinter’s masterpiece remains potently alive after 40 years, in this acclaimed and fresh interpretation by Brink Productions.

In a derelict room, two very different brothers and an old tramp play a game of menace and psychological cunning, in a struggle for survival and a room of one’s own.

Recently nominated as one of the most important plays of the 20th century, Brink’s version of this contemporary classic becomes an examination of identity, refuge and belonging in an age of increasing isolation, oppression and fear.
